Located Near

Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK): Approximate driving time to the Ryad Mogador Opera is 20 minutes and distance is 5 kilometres (3 miles).

Getting there: The airport is served by Grands Taxis (shared taxis) for up to six people and Petits Taxis (private cabs) for up to three people. It is wise to agree the price before commencing the journey and make sure the driver turns the meter on. The fare should be around MAD 50-60 to the city centre. Local bus number 11 runs to Djemma El Fnaa square in central Marrakech every 20-30 minutes although services may not be reliable. A single ticket costs MAD 3. All prices subject to change.

Getting around: The centre of Marrakech is best visited on foot, as cars cannot reach some of the most narrow and atmospheric lanes in the Medina. The smoothest way to travel around the city is in one of the fleet of sand-coloured Petits Taxis for short trips, or in a Grand Taxi (usually a sand-coloured Mercedes) for trips further afield. Horse-drawn carriages are also a popular way to get around Marrakech; negotiate the price before departing. Buses are cheap and frequent but often overcrowded.
